A Weird Day

[Atom]

The attack approached Leo and I felt time slow. I could see him preparing to move, but knew he wouldn't get out of the way in time unless I acted. The pin that Troy had me in was weird, and I couldn't break out of it through conventional means. But that wouldn't stop me from literally throwing my weight around. With as much force as I could muster, which was higher than usual because of Leo activating Reversion earlier, I attempted to jump backwards to knock Troy off balance and get myself free. I saw a white core nearby, and knew that if I could break free, I'd be able to use it to give Leo a speed boost by applying it to myself. I just had to hope that my jump worked.

[Vail]

Troy was not expecting the jump. He didn't even think it would have been possible without some build up. The major downside to this was that Atom landed on his side. Which mean Troy's head would slam into the ground. A ringing sound doesn't stop after a few seconds. Letting go, Troy cradles his head. "You F***ing jerk. I'm so getting you back for that one." He groans in pain.

As the dust settles. Surprisingly Leonidas is still standing. However the attack is still leave a heavy mark. Surely another one will do the job. Which becomes a problem for Leo because another is building up faster than the last one. As well as looking a lot bigger. This one, if it hits will end the brawl.

[Atom]

I shake myself off and immediately go for the Core I had seen and pressed it into myself, giving both me and Leo a power boost and increasing our speed. Leo got back onto his feet and ran back, trying to give himself more of a reaction window. I looked at Troy. "Not a bad grapple, in all honesty." I jumped back to give myself some additional space, and prepared to take off if Troy came at me again. "But nobody ever expects for the grappled guy to jump." My hand glowed as I grabbed a red core, and I pressed it into myself. "Pyro Split!" Both me and Leo glowed red, and from both of us came a Pyrus clone.

"Think you can take the heat?" Asked Pyrus Atom.

[Vail]

Pyrus Atom gets hit by a torrent of water sending him flying. "Oh now you start working!" He points his halo-weapon at Atom. If this hits. There will be more than just a bruise in the morning. Garganoid does take his time to aim an attack at the other Leonidas. Troy looks at it surprised. "Uh oh." He drops his aim and then starts just running away from the main fight direction. Right past Atom if he is in the same direction.

"I'm ending this." He flies higher and then aims straight down. Then fires. At first nothing happens. Then the water level rises and moving at a really fast pace is a giant wall of raging water going everywhere.

[Atom]

It took me a moment to react, but when I did, I immediately knew the danger. "Leo!" I called. "Take to the sky!" Both Leo and Pyrus Leo took into the air to avoid the water. Pyrus Atom rightened himself in the air as I flew close to the ground. I flew towards Troy and picked him up. "I don't care what crazy gizmos you have in that Gauntlet of yours, nor about us being opponents here. Just hang on!" I flew up to narrowly avoid the wave of water. Pyrus Atom thought of something.

"Form Change!" Called Pyrus Atom. "Aquos!" His voice seemed to change as it called it out, and he changed colors to reflect Aquos rather than Pyrus. "About time you brought me out. The data suggests that you need more intelligence than brute force." Aquos Atom dove down into the water as it continued to rise, and began scouring the ground for cores.

[Vail]

"I was trying to avoid the initial torrent. I can swim just fine." With ease Troy slips out of Atom's grasp and dives into the water. He looks around after applying halo diving gear. Then he finds it. Three aquos cores. One of them a battle gear core. Troy is there first taking advantage of at this rate omni tool.

"The Omni Gauntlet is on sale for the low, low price of 799 a unit. Get yours now. We are not sponsored by SHIELD. GAH!!!" Crobalt's joking shill did not end well for him. The interspace score board now has a crack in it.

Troy picks up all three cores can merges them all into one to power it up. Garganoid swims up to Troy to make getting the core easier. It slams into him and the aquos symbol forms, then breaks, then reforms into armor around Garganoid. Making his claws far larger with large gauntlets, armored wings, and a spiked ball at the end of the tail. "Who's ready for a beat down!"

[Atom]

Aquos Atom resurfaced and took to the air, holding 4 cores. 2 Haos, 1 Pyrus, and 1 Aquos. He went over to me as quickly as possible while Troy gave Garganoid the supercharged core. "Well, it seems that our chance of winning is steadily going down. We need to do something to rectify that." He handed me the two Haos cores, then held the other two tightly. "Aquos, Evolution!" He focused on the Aquos Core, and it glowed brightly. "Pyrus Evolution!" The Pyrus Core glowed brightly as well. He pressed the Aquos one into himself before he threw the Pyrus one at Pyrus Leo. The two glowed with evolutionary energy. I looked at the two Haos Cores, and focused.

"Haos Super Evolution!" I called, charging one of them up. I threw it at Leo, then focused, trying to recreate what had happened in the last round. I reached my hand out, only to grasp nothing. Leo evolved into Ultra Leonidas while Aquos Atom and Pyrus Leo reached Omega. I opened my eyes again, sighing. "We're facing an uphill battle now, guys! Keep moving, and avoid staying in one spot longer than any other!" I started moving in an erratic pattern, as random as I could, and hoped that the others were as well. Thought it all, I kept trying to reach out to the thing that happened earlier, yet couldn't.

Troy feeds one more core into garganoid. He clamps his claws together and then pulls them apart a little to charge up an attack then fires it at the Haos leonidas. The attack is swift and powerful. With all the water in the arena being used to fuel the attack. Its gonna last a while

Garganoid starts to yell. "JUST GO DOWN YOU FUCK!!!" these two look exhausted. So they are putting all their effort into this one. As he does that Troy aims his weapon at Atom. Then shoots, covering him with a sticky fast hardening (despite the water) glue.

"Stay still you. This battle is over." He shouts at Atom.

[Atom]

I struggle against the glue, trying my best to break free in time. Leo continues to be pounded by the attack, until Pyrus Leo and Aquos Atom step in to try and give me a little more time. They take the brunt of the attack for a few moments, but are quickly defeated. I pulled one hand free just as the attack hit Leo again. "Leo!" I called, trying everything I could to send the core to him. His power continued to drop as I got my second hand free. I threw the core that I held in my hand at him. Time seemed to slow as it approached him. 100 Bs, 50 ft. 50 Bs, 25 ft. 25 Bs, 10 ft. The core approached Leo just a split second too late, as he glowed and returned to ball form. The core flew past where he was, and slammed against the wall, like the final bell.

Vail is quick. "And the victor is Troy, and Garganoid! Now do to technical difficulties. I would like to request a that everyone take a mandatory leave of the arena. Our coding needs updating." The crowd leaves. Thankfully in a orderly fashion. He goes to meet up with the contestants. Troy was first. He was also more than willing to cooperate. Not holding back the details but looping on himself. Vail has determined that this brawl may have left him a bit scattered brained. Then he meets with Atom "So shall I get a recap of everything on your side."

"I would also like a demand a pizza, and two bottles of Dr. Pepper." Crobalt gets pluck then hurled into a locker. Vail also locks the locker.

[Atom]

"Well, first things first, what you asked about earlier with Time Split. The reason it could do a trifecta attack of Pyrus, Haos, and Aquos when all three weren't on the battlefield is because that's how it works. It draws on Leo's Attributic Connections to create the attack, so it doesn't even check for the proper Bakugan on the field." I took a deep breath, then continued. "Now, as for this battle, things got weird from the start. When Garganoid charged at me, I pulled out my shield. Now, normally, my shield can protect me from all sorts of attacks, but Garganoid went through it like it wasn't there. And a comment from Troy that Leo relayed to me makes it all the weirder. They didn't see a shield, despite me pulling it out. That knocked me out for half the battle, as you probably saw, and when I came to, Leo was on the losing side. When Troy grabbed me, I could feel time slow, and I did the only thing I could think of to break out of it in time to help Leo. After that, Pyro Split is an ability that Leo has, again because of his Attributic Connections. Last but not least, Form Change allows for me to change Attribute. It usually only affects Leo, but when we're in Reversion, I can control it to affect him, me, or both." Leo popped out.

"I also heard Troy say something about his brawling device. I don't know much about what he said, considering the battle, but I do recall him saying something about it finally working after Atom got back up. As for other things, isn't Garganoid's Petrify supposed to completely stop someone else by essentially covering them in stone? It only affected one of my wings, and one of my arms. Besides that, it felt like a pretty usual battle, except for the losing part. We haven't lost many battles, in all honesty."

[Vail]

"What the f*** is going on." He says confused as all heck. Meanwhile away from all the contestants and from everyone else.

"Well that was an interesting dream. I was dreaming that there was the tournament, and everything was going haywire." Says the first voice. It sounds sleepy and confused. Like they aren't really aware of where they are.

"Well that's because it did happen you dope. Or did you forget your dreams affect the real world." Said the much angrier and more alert voice.

"Oh yeah. Right. I'm taking another nap." The first voice then grunts from pain as the second voice kicks him. "Okay fine. I'm up."

"Good. She wants a report on that Atom guy stat." Says the angry voice.

"I just want to sleep." Said the tired voice.

[Atom]

"If I had an answer for you, I'd give it. But, since me and Leo lost against Troy, we suddenly have a lot of time that we can use to help look around."

"Yeah. If there's someone pulling some funny business, we'll be able to find them!" Agreed Leo. "At least, most likely. The only beings we know of that can do this undetected are Negative Shifters, but Atom hasn't sensed any. But still, we can probably figure something out!"
