A Weird Day

[Vail]

"That jerk. Vail thinks he is so strong." Well its more like Troy can recover quickly. Something Atom will have to find a way to get over. He is away of that. While he didn't get to witness it in his fight. But it will be a problem. The the announcement goes off for Atom and Troy to head to their positions. "Wish you luck on the battle field today" Just like he is in recovery. He is quick out the door.

At the arena Troy stands ready. With his gauntlet in hand. If Atom recalls correctly. There are three things to over come in this brawl. First is Troy's and Garganoid's insane recovery time. Despite how fast they blow through their tricks. They can ready them almost immediately again. Speaking of tricks, problem two. Those two have many cards up their sleeve. Ranging from surprise attacks to out right devastating field wipes. Then there is problem number 3: Troy is smart. Now intelligence is measured in many forms. Strategy is one of Troy's aces. If he has a goal. His strategies (yes more than one) will revolve around that goal. With his plans being easily swap-able. Allowing creative flexibility. His one of his major weaknesses is that he can become hyper focused into one thing. His other one is luck. Which is why people usually tend to think he is stupid. Either way, this is going to be a harder fight than Harbeng.

[Atom]

I stood in my spot, as ready as I'd ever be. "I can't play too aggressively, we need to conserve our energy." I thought through anything I remembered of his strategies, and picked out a few details here and there, but nothing that would give me any significant advantage. "We need to anticipate and outplay his strategy, otherwise we'll never win. This might be an uphill battle, Leo."

"Nothing new for us. If anything, every battle we've ever been in has been unfair in one way or another. This one is just a little more so." I sighed.

"Let's see what we can do. If nothing else, it should be more fun that fighting against Harbeng and Lianna."

[Vail]

"Ready Brawlers. . . . . . 3 2 1" On one the announcer room explodes again. Nobody laughs. " . . . I repeat. Who ever is the cause of this. I will find you." He is the one the most done with this day. "Just brawl already."

Troy flinched at the explosion. "Well . . . Maybe I can forgive the guy for having a bad day. Still none the less. BAKUGAN BRAWL!!!" He brawls in Garganoid. Who stands and takes flight right off the bat. Going in for a straight charge. While Troy takes aim with a holo weapon.

"Come on Leonidas!!! Its time for a rematch!!!" Garganoid yells in challenge. Bull rushing straight to Atom. Knowing full well where he will have to tossed Leonidas. Its either in front of Garganoid and get smashed. Or Atom gets rammed by a bakugan who wont hold his punch against a defenseless human. Especially in particular Atom. A brawler who could go toe to toe with Grimm in their heyday.

[Atom]

"I'll admit, I didn't expect that tactic!" I tossed Leo to the side towards a core, then summoned my Shield and held it in front of me. "Bakugan, Brawl!" Leo landed on the core as Garganoid approached. "Bakugan, Stand! Rise Haos Leonidas!" I knew that Leo would be too slow to deflect Garganoid, but I wasn't too concerned. I'd get pushed back when he rammed into my shield, might roll on the ground for a little, but I shouldn't get too badly hurt. After all, my shield has blocked Bakugan Attacks before, why not now? I braced myself as Garganoid bore down on me.

[Vail]

The shield rises. . . The shield rises. . . Where is the shield. To garganoid he see a human thinking he can take on the attack. Which leads to it connecting. Now if garganoid can stop his charge. That would be great. . . . Why isn't he stopping. The guy is flapping his wings to reverse his direction and digging in his claws. Yet it might as well be like he is sliding on oil. Atom is still on his head, and is between the bakugan and the wall. They continue right into the wall.

"GARGANOID!!! Are you okay." Troy calls out in both confusion and concern. He admittedly didn't think Atom would leave himself defenseless.

"I'm fine." Garganoid says getting up. With Atom no longer on him. "I just hope I didn't kill the lad."

[Atom]

If anybody were to take a look, they'd see me implanted into the wall. Not flattened on it, but implanted into it. I was lucky enough to have been hit into a weak point in the wall, which meant that I didn't die, but took some hefty damage. "Atom!" Called Leo.

"Ugh." I groaned. "That hurt!" I fell out of the wall and landed on the ground, very hurt. Leo looked at Garganoid.

"What did you do? Atom's Shield is usually capable of blocking most attacks! And the ones it doesn't block are at least reduced in severity by a massive amount!" Me and him started glowing as Leo activated Reversion, giving me the resiliency of a Bakugan so that I could hopefully pick myself up enough to get a core.

[Vail]

Get will feel something green and slimy stick him to the wall. Weird thing about it. He can tell that its not supposed to feel like snot but more like spider silk. The only reason he would know why is because he was the unwilling test subject of an invention. . . . Made by Grimm. Troy would use such a tool to his advantage. "I have no idea what you are talking about. But I would like to say. That looks gross. . . Its not supposed to look that. Sorry Atom." He is telling the truth. Troy did see Atom attempt to pull something out. Only for nothing to happen. 'Whatever' is his thought process. Its still a battle. Somebody has to lose still.

Garganoid turns away from Atom. "Your turn now." He is a different Garganoid. Not one from the dan kuso days (Original release). So he looks far more intimidating. (That's because he is the Battle Planet version.) He glows blue as Troy found an aquos core and shot it into him.

[Atom]

"Well, for a Garganoid, you sure look different." Said Leo. "Don't think I've ever seen one like you before. Regardless, I think you'll find this battle a bit harder than you'd expect." Leo took to the air, ready for some quick maneuvering to avoid Garganoid's attacks. Sure, it was possible for this Garganoid to fly, just like in the old days, but having full mobility in the air would be a huge boon for either party. I slowly started waking up from the impact only a few moments earlier, but nowhere near coherent enough to notice anything.

[Vail]

Garganoid takes flight in a mad dash to Leonidas. "Petrify!" He shouts as a laser comes out and slams into Leonidas. The weird starts ramping up now. Normally by the names implication. Petrifaction is to be turned to stone. For Leonidas because this day has just been weird. His left wing, and right arm feel like lead. Either way Garganoid is able to close the distance and grapple Leonidas. Then wrapping his own wings around him. They proceed to fall. Garganoid moves them so they are falling head first, and are spinning. Before they hit the ground. He spreads wings and he frantically flaps away to avoid getting his own head smashed. He starts sliding across the floor again right into Atom. That time it wasn't even on purpose.

"Garganoid!"

"I'm okay"

[Atom]

Leo comes to a stop near the wall before slowly pushing himself up with his left arm. "Haven't felt something like this in a while." He managed to sit up and attempted to use his right arm, only for it to not budge. "Well, that'll be annoying." His left wing started flapping and he jumped up, only to half-heartedly glide right into the wall next to him. "And no more air mobility. Great." He glared down Garganoid. "Okay, so you've crippled me. Now what?" I groaned as I slowly lifted myself up, having finally recovered enough to wake.

"It feels like I was hit by a truck." I mumbled.

[Vail]

Garganoid waist no time in getting to Troy. But only hovering above him. "I don't know why but every time I stand on the ground. I might as well be sliding on oil." He was glad to have limited Leonidas though. Troy starts to take aim. Only for his holo weapon wasn't there anymore. He watches it slowly fade away. Leaving things only to Garganoid. He waist no time looking for an aquos core. He isn't sucessful in that department.

"Garganoid keep pelting Leonidas. Stay between him and Atom as much as you can." Troy yells out, as he frantically searches. Only to still turn up nothing.

"Okay. Will do." Garganoid postions himself mid way between Atom and Leonidas and starts pulling water. Then creates a wall of it. with a simple gesture the wall of water rapidly moves towards Leonidas. Clearly with the intent to sweep him away.

[Atom]

Leo ran right at the water and dove into it, knowing that the longer her tried to avoid it the worse it would get. He fought against the current, trying to grab onto the ground to anchor himself. "Something strange is going on." He thought. "I'm pretty sure brawling devices aren't meant to vanish like that." I flopped myself back, woozily landing against the wall. I shook my head to try and clear it.

"All I remember is trying to block an attack that passed my shield." I mumbled. My hand landed on a Core, and I grabbed it accidentally as I pushed down. I attempted to pick myself up, only to fall forward. The core flew into the air above me before falling towards me.

[Vail]

It was a haos core, and it flies right into Garganoid. It felt like being struck by lightning. He would know. Some bakugan can summon lightning. He is forced to land only for his legs to start sliding apart. "You know what. . . . I hate this day." He was being honest. For once he wished he went a long with Troy and just slept in. "I had to remind him that is was tournament day. I had to be the one." It was really weird. All of this chaos was happening. Like they were in one long and awful dream. Atom knows how much Grimm would be reveling in all of this madness. Most likely laughing his ass off.

"I'm on it Garganoid!" Troy had finally found an aquos core. He tosses it to Garganoid. Then grabs a random colored core and tosses it at Leonidas. Then an aqous core spawns. Waisting no time. He presses down and charges the core. The core being hyper charged and with a well aimed shot. That to Troy is purely luck at this point. Connects with Garganoid. "Aquos Evolution" He yells out. As fluid as the rapids of a powerful river. Titian Garganoid is on the field. He retakes to the air.

[Atom]

"You have got to be kidding me." Said Leo as he looked up at Garganoid. The water was slowly receding as the wave passed him, but his movement was still limited. "No flight, my right arm is completely frozen, and he's evolved to a high level. And worst of all, Atom's still barely coherent. What do I have that I can use to my advantage?" He glanced around, knowing how little time he had to act, then thought of something. He started moving as quickly as he could out of the water, so that he could have some maneuverability to avoid Garganoid's attacks. His plan was simple, goad Garganoid into swooping at him, then get out of the way to make him crash onto the ground and touch several cores of the wrong Faction. It was a bit of a long shot, but it was all he had right now.

I pushed myself up again, only to fall back down. "Still not good." I mumbled. I then remembered where I was. "Oh. Oh! I need to get up! Come on body, work with me!" I struggled to get up again, hoping that I wasn't too late.

Garganoid is not stupid. Even if it did work, Leonidas forgot one importanting thing. Bakugan can't pick up the cores. Nor can they be absorbed from the ground without a brawler. He should have realized that the moment Garganoid started charging up an energy attack while in the air. It starting to look like a real game ender too.

Troy was rushing right to Atom. "Not so fast you!" Atom gets tackled by Troy. Despite his appearance. The guy is surprisingly strong. Also trained under a certain man of chaos. So it makes sense that all the sudden that this guy was better than most. The more annoying part is that the hold was weird but effective. Both arms twisted behind the back. Legs wrapped around his to further limit his movement. Also Troy's head is to far away to headbutt. All and all. Troy knows how to pin a person, and get away with it. KABOOM!!!!!!!! Garganoid's attack fires off.
