A Weird Day

[Atom]

I attempted to talk, only to be unable to because of what she did. But my glare told everything, if she were to look. The other Leos slowly got up from being hit by Harbeng swinging Leo around, and focused on a plan. They each touched a core of their respective Attribute, powering themselves up. Then, they transferred some of that energy to their respective Atoms. Ventus Atom quickly drew on that power to create a strong burst of wind to push everybody apart from each other. The other 4 Atoms all got pushed back and turned around, so they couldn't see if I had been able to get free from Lianna. The Leos then stood in a wide circle around Harbeng, staying out of range of his whip, and out of range of where he could swing Leo without overextending himself. All four prepared to attack as soon as he made a move against any of them. The other Atoms started getting up and reorienting themselves. Pyrus Atom was up first, and drew his sword, ready to jump in the moment something went bad.

[Vail]

Pyrus Atom then sees an umbrella swinging at him it feels really heavy. If his block is successful or not Lianna doesn't care. Now is the time to end things for her. She pushes Pyrus Atom away. Then picks up a baku core that is ignited. "One of my spies saw this trick. But instead of stacking them. I manage to find natural ones. Lords above only know how many others replicated that trick of his." She hurls it at scary speeds into Harbeng. Who takes the core only for it to explode and form a lance over the whip, and a shield in the other hand. Harbeng charges up his attacks. If this hits Haos Leonidas. This brawl is 100 percent over. "Go Harbeng!"

"Harbenger's!!! Harvest!!!" The large undead bakugan shouts as he charges Haos Leonidas. Like he is an unstoppable spear that can only be exhausted first.

"It looks like a final attack folks. Lianna plans on ENDING THIS!!!!" There is a loud smashing sound.

"While he is right. Crobalt you are not to man the mics. . . Or speakers." Vail is out of any form of patience. Clearly.

[Atom]

I regain feeling in my entire body, and slowly push myself up. "This battle isn't over yet." I muttered. Harbeng ran towards Leo, and I felt time slow as I thought as quickly as possible. "She added something to him that changed how he battles. Almost like Battle Gear, but not quite." I pushed energy into my hands as time seemed to resume, and sent my plan to Leo. "We're not finished yet!" I yelled. Two white cores appeared in my hands. I threw them both at Leo as fast as I could, and felt a pain in my right arm. I grasped it as I watched both the Cores and Harbeng get closer to Leo. "Haos Super Evolution! We need Ultra Leonidas now!" Both cores glowed brightly, and Leo ducked down a bit so that one would go over him to instead hit Harbeng. It was a matter of which would hit first, the cores, or Harbeng.

[Vail]

There is a dust explosion. Nobody can see who is standing. Who won is still up in the air. Did Leonidas get impaled, or did Harbeng get stopped in his tracks. When the dust finally settles. Just a few millimeters from Leonidas's head. Is the lance that would have ended this brawl. Not saying it didn't do any damage. But it was really, really way to close for the comfort of anyone.

"What!" Lianna says shocked. "Harbeng! You missed! End this pointless brawl now!" Lianna almost screams the command. Harbeng is more than happy to obey the command which is the scary part. Harbeng lift the lance to bring it down on Leonidas's head like a metal bat. Except the bat is a metal lance hyper charged with a darkus energy.

"By my Lady's command! Stand still" Harbeng intends to end this brawl. He brings the lance down.

[Atom]

Leo suddenly shifted to the left while glowing brightly, narrowly avoiding the lance as it shot down right next to him. It hit the ground, cracking it. Leo looked Herbeng right in the eye as he stopped glowing, revealing himself to be Ultra Leonidas. "No, I don't think I will." Leo jumped up, then jumped backwards off of Harbeng, knocking him off balance and sending Leo a good distance away, enough for him to have a comfortable reaction window if Harbeng charged at him again. I glanced at Lianna.

"If you want to call it a pointless brawl, go ahead. In the grand scheme of things, you're not too far off. But to me, every battle is worth fighting for! You never know when a random battle can become something more." I picked up another core, and pressed it into myself. My arm stopped hurting, and I moved it a bit. "That's better. I hate it when I throw something too hard and my shoulder pops." I grabbed another core, and threw it at Leo. "Leo! Keep at the ready!" Leo knew what that meant, and prepared to use Hyperspeed in case Harbeng charged.

[Vail]

Harbeng has to chase Leonidas down. Occasionally swatting away another Leonidas of a different attribute. It was frankly getting on his nerves. Lianna is preventing the human(s) from getting any advantage will quietly feeding him more power. So much more power. "Just stand STILL!!!!!" Harbeng is finally losing his patience. The closest Leonidas (which was pyurs) was the first to really feel this. Thankfully it was not a real entity for the massive hole in its torso makes it, and the following human fade away. Next was subterra who saw the danger and save Leonidas at last moment. It too would fall crushed under the heavy metal. Then power ventus. Thinking it had a chance. Only to be bashed over the head so hard it crashes then fades. "Three down little dragon. You are next." He says to leonidas. Walking straight into the middle of the arena. Not even watching his back. Which he should have done, because Lianna gets pushed by something. Creating the last and final opening. Its weird though. Atom didn't do anything to push her back. She was just suddenly knocked over.

[Atom]

I watched Leo dodge and weave around Harbeng's attacks, and felt agonizing pain as Harbeng took out three different Leos. "Just as bad, as when Mechtavius Destroyer, did it." I grunted.

"Stay focused Atom!" Called Leo as he dodged another attack. "We've got this now!" I took a deep breath, only to be taken out of my focus as I noticed Lianna get pushed by something. I immediately pressed the advantage, taking what I could get, and broke away from her, leaving Aquos Atom to fight against her. Aquos Leo stealthily took position behind Harbeng, ready to send in the final attack. I grabbed a few Cores, Haos and Aquos, and prepared to throw them when I felt, something. I dropped the two cores as I felt my hands suddenly reach out and grab at nothing. I then felt something in them. I took a look to see that I had Two Time Splits in my hands, one of the gears Haos, the other one Aquos. The two cores I had dropped started glowing, and I saw the two Attribute Symbols for Haos and Aquos, as I remembered them before they were Factions. I then thought of something.

"That strange Core Lianna threw at Harbeng earlier, I wonder if these are the same kind. But then, why would I have Time Split? Going further, why two?" I looked up to see Leo dodge another attack, and I suddenly had a crazy thought. I gripped both Time Splits in my hands, then brought them down onto the two Cores. The Attribute Symbols seemed to break off of them and float into the air. Both Time Splits seemed to just melt into them as I picked them up. "Let's see if this works!" I called, throwing the two cores at Leo and his Aquos Clone. The two cores hit, and both of them suddenly shot out an Attribute Symbol in front of them. They broke apart, before suddenly revolving around them. Two bracelets formed around both of their arms, each with 3 spikes each, as they glowed brightly. Suddenly, the glow died, revealing that both of them had evolved to Realital Leonidas. Their Battle Gear began to charge up. "I can't believe it!" I exclaimed. "I thought we couldn't get past Ultra Leonidas, much less skip two Evolutions!" Three lights appeared on both sets of bracelets, one red, one blue, one yellow.

"This is the final attack!" Said Aquos Leo.

"Time for Light Time Split!" Finished Leo. Both Leos fired out three beams of energy, but instead of having one of each attuned to Pyrus, Aquos, or Haos, the Pyrus Beam had been changed to appear Darkus for both of them. The three beams from each of them fused together as they approached Harbeng.

"I'm not the only one confused by how the Pyrus Beam shouldn't have been Darkus, right?" I wondered.

[Vail]

Harbeng returns to his ball form to the absolute confusion of everyone. Murmurs in the crowd about "Is that legal" to "It wouldn't have happened if it wasn't." Vail announces the winners as so and ask for everyone to take advatange of this intermission before they continue the tournament. Vail looks for Atom in this moment. He has. . . Question to put it lightly.

"Now Vail. There must be a perfectly good explanation for this." Goes the admittedly worried Crobalt. "Stop for a moment and take a breather too. Your getting riled up. Buy yourself a popcorn. A soda to boot." He gets swatted. "Wow. . . . Today is not your day is it." He says rightfully annoyed. They eventually find Atom. Crobalt meets him first to warn him of the angry Gundalian. "Atom! Hide! Vail is angry and looking for you!" But its to late for hiding as the door slams open. Right into another contestant. It was Troy. And yes. He is in a lot of pain.

[Atom]

What Vail sees when he opens the door is me pacing, thinking aloud. "Where did Time Split come from, and why did it appear? Then, there's the question of how it allowed Leo to skip right to Realital Leonidas, completely ignoring his Neo and Timeline forms, despite the Evolution Limitations I've seen. And I can't forget how it split into both Haos and Aquos for both Leos. I just don't get it!" It was clear that I was more frustrated about now knowing the answers than anything else.

"Atom, please, calm down." Said Leo. "You're going to drive yourself crazy at this rate! Believe me, I wish I had answers too, but we still don't know enough about Bakucores yet, nor enough about Core Cell Energy. Literally all we know is that, somehow, you got Time Split, and it somehow managed to link up with me." I continued pacing, walking back and forth, as Leo shook himself. He noticed Vail out of the corner of his eye. "Uh, hi. What brings you down here?"

[Vail]

Troy, the poor lad. Despite wanting to yell angrily at Vail. Takes few steps back. Fully used to the feeling of being the forgotten presence in the room. The if glares can shoot daggers. Vail's would be a stream of laser point focused rockets. With heat seeking too. "What did you do." Is the first thing Vail can say. Before walking forward. "What did you do. That attack you did. I should flag it illegal. Battle gear and evolution is one thing. But what you did needs explanation. NOW. Or do I need to start calling you crazy again." It took a month for Vail to even start considering the thought of not calling Atom crazy, or greeting Atom with. Oh its you the crazy guy. That sentence took longer to drop.

"Now Vail. This is Atom. You called him an insanity magnet once. Behind his back. But heeeeey. This is insanity magnet. There is a perfectly crazy explanation for this." What make Crobalt's defense hurt this time is that he is more right than anybody would like to admit. So not much of a defense but a more of a call. He still get swatted. But righting Troy who gets knocked over. Literally no one still has noticed his presence and Crobalt was sent flying into him.

[Atom]

I stopped pacing, and turned to Vail. "You want an explanation? I can tell you how Time Split worked BEFORE Bakucores. Beyond that, I've got nothing! I don't know how Leo evolved to Realital Leonidas, I don't know why I had two Time Splits, and I don't know why the Pyrus Beam that should've come out of it was instead Darkus!" I rubbed my temples. "If I had an explanation for anything that happened, believe me, I'd give it to you, but the explanation is something that eludes me as well!" I shook my head.

"If there was anything I knew, I'd explain it." Added Leo. "But I'm just as mystified as you guys. As far as I was aware, I couldn't get past my Ultra Leonidas evolution, much less skip past both Neo and Timeline. It was, strange, to say the least."

[Vail]

Vail is frankly now very annoyed. The following punch was ultimately satisfying for for him. It was not a soft punch either. "I'm not talking about the evolution in the end you moron." he plants his foot on Atom's chest. A shadow looming over his face. Add a red eye glow and he would be the perfect example of a demon. "You final attack was a trinity attack that needed Aquos, Haos, and Pyrus. But the pyrus was destroyed. So answer me. How were you able to activate a trinity with out the right attributes." The glare and rage in his eyes are clear as day. Living up to the stickler for the rules side of him. . . The violent way.

"Vail please. Be calm. We can mutilate him after the tournament. I we both know that he is gonna maybe lose this next round." Crobalt is really not helping. "I believe Troy was the name of his next opponent. I wonder where he is?" He ask but slumped against the was in a painful stupor is Troy. With a worried bakugan trying to wake him up. Nobody has yet to notice.

"I will see to you personally later. Better have an explanation by then." He leaves. by slamming the door open. Narrowly missing Troy, but when it gets slammed closed. A chuck of the data wall falls off and hits him on the head. Freaking out the bakguan more.

[Atom]

I rubbed where I was hit, trying to ebb away the pain. "That's what he wanted to know about? That's part of how Time Split worked before Bakucores." I slowly got up, still thinking. "That's the only part that I can explain." I shook my head, then heard something crash to the floor. I turned to it to see someone unconscious. "Wait, how long has he been here? And is he okay?" I walked over to him and looked him over, and noticed a Bakugan next to him. "Hey, uh, is he okay?"

[Vail]

Garganoid turns around to Atom. "Atom its me. Garganoid. You seriously can't remember who I am?" He looks at Atom and Leo. "SERIOUSLY!!!!! I was one of Grimm's bakugan once upon a time. Now this guys bakugan. . . . . Seriously?" The guy begins to creatively curse. "By genesis gay a** c***. These two s***s for pain morons don't f***ing regonzie me. These lamed corn nuts, are denser than bull spit if the bull can even spit." If Atom and Leonidas do end up remembering Garganoid. They won't remember suck flowerful language. Must have picked it up from Troy. Which becomes concerning when he might wake up. If he was a asleep in the first place. He stands up rapidly coming back smacking his head into Atom's jaw.

"AH F***ing J**** C****!!! Who the bloody S***ty H*** Stands over a person like a God D*** pervert like that! You  F***** Blow Bird, Egg Goon, Kiss Jaw, Lamed horse, Palooka A**hat!!!" Very creative. Also yep. . . Got from his brawler. Who can swear and knows his swearing.

[Atom]

I step back immediately, rubbing my jaw from the impact. "I meant no disrespect. I just noticed that you were in this room unconscious when I heard something fall down over here. And as for you, Garganoid, I didn't recognize you from behind. My mistake." I shook my head. "Regardless, if you're cognitive enough to say all of that, you're probably fine." I walked back towards the middle of the room, not wanting to stir up any more hostility.
