Burnt Victory

[Ren Nakamura]

Ren had entered his new shift of work at the Game Gunner, telling Vail of his run in with Grimm and time dude, resulting in a freindly spar he had using Dharak against grimm's fully evolved Serperios. Ren had found some ice as he told everything to Vail including how they managed to win. Ren placed the ice pack down on the counter and Dharak quickly jumped down onto it, opened up and laid on it, on his back. There was a loud hiss sound as Dharak sighed in pure relief.

"Ahhhhhhh. Please don't move me. This feels so nice. But don't insult that dragon, he hits really hard." Dharak commented,  the poor boy wasn't used to the heat he had to face during the battle.

"Honestly, Dharak kinda shocked me, but it just shows, what one can do with even non evolved Bakugan" Hydrnaoid commented, as Ren nodded. 

"Yeah, I agree Hydranoid. I was expecting a high chance of loss knowing Diablo's times against Serperios but I guess you two never having battle him before then, had that new view advantage" Ren responded, giving his thought son the matter, but there was a smile on his face. He was proud of his Bakugan, they had come furthur then he expected of them so soon.



Vail

[Vail]

    Ren's news surprises him only in the means of victory. "Damn Ren. You fought Grimm, and won at that. How do you feel? I must know. Also. Ha Dharak can't go into kitchens. Also do you have a recording of the brawl? I must watch it." The normally excited Snake bakugan ask. "Oh. I would love to brawl now too. You have a lot more cards now so me, and Vail no longer need to hold back too." Then the snake gets locked into a box.

    "Give him some space you. . . But hearing you being more confident shows that the deal has been working. Yet, Crobalt is right. We should brawl to see how far you have come since a month, and a half ago." Ren would see Vail looks calm today. Still annoyed by default about something. Just as Ren was walking in Vail thrashed Rich Brat. Nine restraining orders and that kid still comes in. Persistence has a name apparently. "Lets do it after the rush in ten minutes please though." Ren's company in the shop has brought a new level of calmness to Vail though. Still aggressive as hell. But not as much as when they first met.

[Ren Nakamura]

Ren was asked about how he felt facing Grimm, the one guy he feared the most and won. "Honestly, I am surprised and more surprised I got to leave the area and live" Ren commented before chuckling with a smile. "But fighting him once, I know now, I can face him again and there is nothing to fear, if he wished me gone, I would already be so" Ren continued, glad that fear could finally be over, he hoped.

Then another brawl was mentioned. "Please no! Give me like 10 minutes for my wings to stop aching! It isn't easy hovering over a lake of hot boiling lava, you know" Dharak begged as he still lay on the ice pack. Ren and Hydranoid could only laugh a little in response. "Sure, when rush hour is gone and Dharak isn't aching as much we can brawl," Ren responded, Dharak letting off and sigh of relief that he didn't have to move yet. "Chance for me to note some more things about you Crobalt" Hydranoid commented, he liked taking notes during battle, things to note when fighting people or stuff he or dharak could use in the future.

[Vail]

    Before rush hour official begins. Vail puts Dharak into a new ice back. In a ice bath. Then another ice pack on top of him. Then it begins. The rush isn't really that much of a rush. Its mostly university students, and early work leavers. Its generally chill, with problem actors dealt with fast. There was also no rich brat today. So Vail's sanity is not further drained from the iterations. Yet as usual though. The regulars are very cautious about Vail. Less they suffer his easily brought out wrath. "Thank you for shopping at Game Gunners. Where we shoot out the competition's prices." The customer who hears that nods his head, and leaves in a hurry. Not out fear, but awkwardness of this new motto. It sounds stiff in Vail's mouth. He isn't even the cheapest store in town. He just out sells all the chain companies nearby.

    "Could you be more stiff?"

    "Shut Crobalt. . . I will ditch the motto."

    "Let me do a purchase."

    Rolling his eyes. "Go right ahead."

    "Is this everything sir. . . Your total is 23. . . Thank you for shopping at Game Gunners. Where we shoot out the competition's prices." The customer happily shakes their head in agreement, and leaves with a smile. Before Crobalt can brag about it. Because lets be honest. Crobalt will. Vail throws Crobalt to the opposite wall. His crash is heard. Eventually the rush ends.

[Ren Nakamura]

Ren helped with the rush where he could as did Hydranoid. "Thank you for shopping at Game Gunners. Where we shoot out the competition's prices. Have a great day" Ren said with a smile as his customer nodded and left with a smile. Hydranoid scooted a little further away from Vail. "I think it is just how you present yourself and how it comes out, a practice thing" Ren commented, as Hydranoid made his way to Crobalt. "I'm coming Crobalt, don't move too much or you'll get stuck" Hydranoid stated, once there he would help Crobalt out so he could get back to the desk. Then finally the rush hour ended, silence.


"Guyyyyysss! Can I come out now? I'm starting to get cold!" Dharak called out making Ren chuckle. "Coming buddy!" He responded, taking him out of the box. Dharak shakes himself off and stretched. "Much better, a little sore still, but down enough for a brawl" Dharak commented before looking to Vail. "Ready when you are!"

[Vail]

    "Okay then. Lets get going." Vail isn't going to fight it. He needs a break too. Crobalt after being freed joins Vail, and the two set up the arena. "This might be an easy win Crobalt. Dharak is still sore, and we are in a good state."

    "Doesn't mean we hold back. Ren has gotten more cards, and his skill with them improved a lot. Frankly I'm excited. So lets bash, thrash, and trash them!" Crobalt is as usual. Very excited. Then they enter the setup arena.

    Stepping forward Vail pulls out the gate card. "Gate Card set!" When it lands. It glows orange, and expands. "Bakugan Brawl!" He grabs Crobalt and throws him in. Landing on the card the snake bakugan rises. "Rise Burning Crobalt! Rip and tear them apart." Crobalt looks prettier in this form. This beauty though comes with him being much worse to face off against.

Subterra Pyrus Burning Crobalt enters the battle field at 8 0 0 gs.

[Ren Nakamura]

Ren went to the other side of the field with Dharak and Hydranoid on either shoulder. "I'm ready if you need me Dharak" Hydranoid commented before Dharak stopped him. "No. This is my chance to show Crobalt what I can do. I want to show him the power of this Dharak" Dharak responded as Ren clapped once. "Alright guys, let's focus" Ren stated as he took a deep breath. He closed his eyes with a serious look as his right hand shot up to his left shoulder where Dharak was. Dharak jumped into his hand as Ren's pinkie and ring finger closed around him.

"Bakugan Brawl!" Ren shouted out as his eyes opened, his arm doing that chopping arm throw he was known for. Dharak hit against Crobalt and stood. "Stand, Seek and Destroy! Ventus Dharak!" Ren then shouted as Dharak roared and spread his wings. "Let's go Crobalt! This is my time to shine now!" Dharak called out, determined to try and beat Crobalt in this fight. "Remember to focus Dharak" Ren ordered, Dharak nodding in responce.

[Vail]

    Vail is a vicious brawler though. "Ability Acitivate! Metal Flooding!" Crobalt vomit forth a flood of molten metal onto Dharak. He's just too close to not be able to dodge it. As a result too, his green becomes blue.

Ventus Dharaknoid attribute Change to Aquos. Aqous Dharaknoid lose 3 0 0 gs for a total of 2 0 0gs. Subterra Pryus Burning Crobalt gains 3 0 0 gs for a total of 1 1 0 0 gs.

    This is not a good start for Ren and Dharak. Of course the metal is hot too. "Sorry Dharak! I know melted metal is hot, but you know what they say. Can't handle the heat. Stay out of the kitchen!" Crobalt furious whips his tail at Dharak. Each hit would feel like wrecking balls if they land on their target.

    "Ability Activate! Shedding Skin!" Subterra Pryus Burning Crobalt gains 3 0 0 gs for a total of 1 4 0 0 gs. Protection from G-power Loss.

[Ren Nakamura]

"Oh come on! Don't fucking waste the ice bath! Now I'm all sore again!" Dharak calls out, if one could see his face, it was very grumpy. "Don't worry, I got you! Double Ability Activate! Destructive Burst and Blight Extinction!" Ren called out as he held the two cards. A ventus-coloured shield surrounds Dharak, taking the molten metal off him, his scales though were still hissing. Dharak looks at his scales and growls. "Oh, NOW it's on!" Dharak shouted out as Crobalt's tail hits the shield, breaking it.

Then large red nests with green bubbles full of liquid begin to cover the field, after a few seconds, the others near Crobalt begin to explode. One by Dharak explodes and out from it comes a Crobalt with ghostly white eyes. "Clone Crobalt, attack!" Dharak called out as he would begin to use the weird pod things as cover and also advantage points. The Crobalt charged at the original, fighting the exact same way as the original would.

Metal Flooding negated. Ghoul Trigger Set. Dharak 5 0 0 g s Clone Burning Crobalt 1 4 0 0 g s Ren Total: 1 9 0 0 gs vs Burning Crobalt 1 4 0 0 gs

[Vail]

    "Don't forget Ren. I'm just get started. Ability Activate! Metal Flooding!" Crobalt pours his energy into the ground, and it begins to melt.

    "Get off you!" He bashes aside the ghost. Then can feel ventus energy flow into him. "Heh. I feel like a vampire. So let my drain you dry Dharak!" He continues the assault with a massive counter attack.

Ventus Dharaknoid minus 3 0 0 gs for a Total 2 0 0gs. Ghoul Trigger Activated. Croablt and Dharaknoid G-Power swap. Dharaknoid total G-power 1 7 0 0gs Combine power is 3 6 0 0 gs. Crobalt total G-Power 2 0 0 gs.

    If that is his total. Then why is Crobalt still hitting hard? Vail is holding up another card. Another two cards in fact. Vail also uses swarming tactics. "Double ability activate. Snake Army. Fusion Ability Activate. Reinforcing the Army." Two bakugan are brawled out from Vail's side. Dongora, and Zappira. both look ready to battle. Then a clone of a clone arrives onto the field. This is not good at all for Ren.

Recalculating G-Power for Player One's field. Total is 2 6 0 0 gs. "Gate Card. Open! Crobalt Gate!" Player One G-Power Increase by 2 1 0 0 gs. Total is 4 7 0 0gs. Player Two's bakugan increase for total of 7 0 0 gs. Total is 4 3 0 0 gs.

(Player one is Vail. Player two is Ren.)

Dharak suddently roars out in agony from the extra heat he was being exposed to, but then Dharak's green scales and horns began to blow. And his roars got louder as hissing was heard from under his now glowing scales. "Ahhhhhhhhh! I can't see and my skin burns! Ren, help me!" Dharak called out, he wasn't one to ask for help like that, but he couldn't take this pain.

Ren's eyes widened as he took one step forward. "Oh nonononononono. Why now? Of course, this happens after a Grimm brawl. Power please don't fail me now" Ren cried out, he was worried and he was desperate, he didn't want to risk losing a Bakugan to evolution already. He put his fingers together and tried to focus on Dharak who was now running around the field in agony, screaming as this giant lightbulb reptile. Ren tried all he could but nothing was nothing. "No, come on, don't mess me around now! Work!" Ren cried out, but his attempts weren't working, tears began to fall as Ren fell to his knees. "I can't lose him now...work damn it!" Ren shouted out, getting more desperate as he tried again and again and again to work the miracle he did to Crobalt.  But no matter how much or how hard he tried, there was no effect on Dharak, worse or better. 

[Vail]

    Vail is very confused, and half blind because of the Dharak sized light bulb. He has no idea why Ren is freaking out though. Either way Dharak needs to brought under control for now. "Calm down Ren." He says sternly. "Ability Activate. Lava De Prisión" Crobalt roars as he spews forth entrapping lava blindly. His clone is uneffect. Dharak is another story.

    Ventus Dharaknoid G-Power is not reduced to zero. Dharaknoid's G-Power Level is rising at an a extreme rate. 2 2 5 1, 2 2 5 2, 2 2 5 3

    "What! Its like when Crobalt evolved."

    "I figured something might be up. Dharaknoid is ticking time bomb."
    "I don't get it."

    "Because you never saw a bakugan evolve till now. Ren as you explain Vail will be taking control of the situation. NOW!"

    "Right. Ability Activate! Snake Drop!" Dongora returns to Vail and then the system makes its announcement. The energy in Zapppira's moves to Dharak, and Dharak's to Zappira's.

    Ventus Dharaknoid, and Haos Zappira G-Power swap. Dharaknoid G-Power Rising Steadily. Player One Vail G-Power total Recalculated. Calculation failed. Player Two Ren please activate an ability card.

    "The system has gone haywire. Ren what's going on with you two. Pull yourselves together!"

[Ren Nakamura]

"REN!" Hydranoid screamed into Ren's ear making him jump and look to his shoulder. "Calmly explain Evolution to everyone" Hydranoid ordered as Ren nodded and took some deep breaths. His breathing was shaky but he did stop using his powers, the system if it got affected would fix itself within the day.

"Like how we grow up, Bakugan do also, with Evolutions being key stages of growing up in their lives. Kinda like our teens, but these evolutions are also life lessons. Bakugan usually unless you cheat it like I kinda did with Diablo, won't evolve without learning an important life lesson. This is why not any Bakugan evolves, or may not evolve as many times. HOWEVER, any evolution can kill the Bakugan ongoing one, more so the very first. Diablo has nearly straight up died to his evolutions on the past. Diablo though never evolved after exposure to Grimm and his chaos pillar. Chaos is one of the most dangerous pillars, and I don't know how much risker it has made this evolution, or the result if he dies" Ren explained as calmly as he could.

Dharak's power was down, but he was still in agony and screaming as the hissing of his scales continued. "We have fix this soon, I don't know how much more he can take" Hydranoid commented. "I tried my only power, but unlike with Crobalt, it isn't working" Ren commented, and then he realized what he said, and has a oh crap face. Then before Ren could say anything more, a card appeared in his hand, glowing in a bright yellow.

"Ability Activate!" Ren instinctly called out, hoping the card would help.

The glowing around Dharak seemed to be absorbed into his body as his scales shifted and moved, his front claws shifting into arms and hands as he shifted to his back feet, he gained an extra set of wings of which were all star-shaped. His scales were now a darker green with a minty underbelly. He had a second tail and the spikes around his body were now like armour pieces. He had these two long golden whiskers completing the new look. "Luminous Destroyer!" Dharak called out as his wings spread wide, a shining white to yellow gradient, as they glow brightly. A beam shoots out from them towards Vail's team.

Dharak unknown attributes. Dharak risen by 600gs Ren's total, calculating. Calculation Failed. Vail's total, calculating. Calculation Failed.

Dharak stood there, just about standing, his eyes are now a golden yellow. He was breathing heavily, there was still some hissing from his scales. Dharak just looked Crobalt and Vail dead in the eyes. It was clear he was nearly out of it, but he wasn't happy about the whole heat thing.

[Vail]

    Vail heard Ren used his powers on Crobalt, and is not happy. "You what." Vail pulls a card Ren has not seen yet. "Ability Activate. Geonator Crusher!" Crobalt eyes light up, and then dives into the molted floor. All extra bakugan get sent back as Crobalt gets his allies too. Rising from the floor is a giant wrecking ball of a boulder. Then swimming up, and jumping up. His tail end gets a boulder on it. Crobalt then comes swinging down. Right at Dharak's head.

    "So that's why I can't feel pain! Thank you for that Ren. Still got to bash Dharak." Then does a follow up swing at Dharak. Going for a full body bash. This will essential revert the guy back to ball form, and lands at Ren's feet. The field enters reset mode, and Crobalt returns to Vail's hand.

    Player One, and Two's G-Power Recalculated. Calculation Failed. Player One Vail is the victor. Vail's rank has rise two places on the global leader board. Entering Reboot mode.

    Vail walks over to Ren. "Recover for today. Tomorrow. You're on toilet scrubbing duty. Don't forget. Its taco Tuesday as well." That's harsh. Especially since the tacos are made by Vail and sold at the shop. They be spicy good.

[Ren Nakamura]

Ren was silent as this happened, he felt sorry Dharak. And he understood Vail being annoyed with him. He just grabs Dharak and holds him a bit. When Vail walk over, Ren looked up but didn't look him straight in the eye, he figured that was likely a bad idea. He was told that tomorrow he was on toilet duty, normally he would complain as a joke but, this time he wasn't going to. "Yes sir, I'll finish my stuff up for the day" Ren stated, as he got up and turned to head back to the shop. "And crobalt, rest up too, I don't know if the chaos pillar energy will affect you too from being right at Dharak, be careful" Ren then comments, before heading off.

"I don't get it! You were only trying to help him back then-" Hydranoid started before Ren grabbed him and put him into his pocket. "Not now Hydranoid. I shouldn't have tried to use it on Crobalt back then and I defiantly shouldn't have dared to use it on Dharak. I'll get a lecture from him and Grimm for it" Ren responded, finishing his stuff so Vail closing shop would be fairly simple, before heading off for the day, so Vail wouldn't have to see his face.
