Ashleigh has been living in a place called Anthem Heights since her birth. 3rd house up the hill on North Venton Bulevard, early on in her life she found herself occupied with various activities her parents had gotten her into, art, tennis and music being a couple of them. Frankly her parents had been a little overbearing when it came to her needs, this caused her to never really experience a moment without something she wanted and or needed, even if her family wasn’t especially rich. Her mother typically was out of the house, working a job as a realtor across various different parts of the city and her father worked a software job from his home office.
Ashleigh found herself naturally gifted at many things she tried her hand at, receiving numerous praise from her family, teachers and other students around her, usually comments about how she was always finished with things so fast or never seemed to have much trouble. This constant praise during her formative years inflated her ego to a point where she expected to succeed in any task no matter how difficult. When she grew this was seen as a competitive streak and she often bested many challengers against her in her fields mostly being music and tennis. But, during a tennis game she was getting very heated in she had twisted her ankle causing a massive sprain, and huge swelling. Due to this she had to stay in the hospital for an extended amount of time and didn’t have much time to practice her skills while keeping up with school.
After coming back from her hospital visit she wasn’t nearly as good at all of her activities child to a person who was somewhere above average, transitioning from a gifted child to someone who wasn’t that special. As a result she started to struggle to keep up to the people around her. She began to feel disappointment from the people around her many making comments about how she wasted her potential, or had such a promising future. This and the countless losses had her develop a major blow to her ego. Over the years she avoided people in fear of disappointing herself and or them, and hearing more unkind words.
