You did say to post any issues we find here, so here it is: the only thread I'll make with a list of suggestions. You don't have to accept any of these. These are just things to think about.
Positives
I think the tab on the left is a nice touch. Great idea! We should've used that on WC.
I like the card slot idea. It's ironic considering that could've been a solution for WC. (I hope we're past 'that' enough to where I can say that.)
Requiring people to buy effects before they can put them on cards is...different. You have direct control over what gets put on cards, which I can appreciate to a certain extent. I do have some concern with this idea; however, it's important to note that it doesn't allow things to get too out of hand, and that's what I like about it.
Having a board dedicated to ruling debates is very helpful. I wish we had it.
Blaze went above and beyond for her artwork, especially for when people use the old-school format. Very well done!
Suggestions
I think that the people who suggest effects should be paid if his/her effect is bought. From what it looks like, everyone will have access to the effect in question. Just getting to use it for free might be enough for you, but I'd want a peace of that pie if I made it. Just a thought.
I looked at Ryek's profile and saw that he was given $1000 when it was approved. If people are given money for this, that's cool, but can they also be given card slots as well? Maybe 4 just to get them started?
My concern with the card slots and effects boils down to something I think is the biggest obstacle with this system: everything is heavily monetized. You're charging me for the right to make a card. You're then charging me to get effects to put on a card. Even if I make it past that, I STILL have to pay to make the card anyway. It's too much imo. If this was done in an attempt to crack down on people making stuff in the shop (like I referenced earlier), I think you went too far, wayyy too far. At the very least, I shouldn't have to pay to make a card. It feels like you're getting greedy by making me pay to use something I just paid for.
I get that Grimm is his own...well, character, but...I would keep everything in the rules clean and professional-looking. Some of these statements are off-putting. You know which ones I'm talking about, so I'll just leave it at that.
I'm not sure if you're being serious with the whole 'Player Challenges Admin' portion of the 'Styles of Battle' thread. If you are, then... You have your style, and I respect that. At the very least, I think you should be transparent on how powerful admin-specific abilities are. They should still be fair and only push the boundaries a little bit. As it stands, we don't know anything, and you are free to do whatever you want. A baseline that everyone is aware of would be nice. For punishment brawls, you can do whatever you want. For normal brawls, be reasonable, please. Your Bakugan having effects - assuming 'unique powers' means effects - isn't reasonable assuming they tip the scales far into your favor. Do not make the same mistake that Calvin made on WC. He did a similar thing to my teammatessubordinates and I ten years ago. A lot of the old guard quit in protest. Just a warning.
That's all I have for now.
