Some Don't Learn

[Vail]

It is a rather slow day, today. Game Gunners, is the name of a game store. It isn't small, but it isn't big. Coming with a variety of games to play in. Even hosting some tournaments for them. Coming with its own Bakugan Interspace link. Which was very expensive. Much to Vail's great displeasure. He tires not to focus on that fact to much. It was only last week that he brought the shop out of the red, and into the black. But today is slow, and with that he is happy. As he sits at the counter where purchases are made. When he hears something that he is going to ignore instead.

"Hey! You! Explain what is going on here!. . . . Hey! Are you even listening!" It is some rich kid who has been trying to harass Vail for a while now since Vail utterly crushed him in a brawl. It was pathetically one sided in his opinion. But none the less the kid was persistent. Vail even had to use his hypnotism a couple dozen times to get rid of him. And it looks like he brought back up. Nine of the kids lackeys stand behind him. "Stupid Gundalian. Answer me dammit!"

Vail finally opens his. "Haven't you had enough already. Go somewhere else. I banned you from the store for a reason." He says very annoyed. The rich kid starts ranting and raving. Each word showing how spoiled and rotten the brat is. "Stupid teenagers." He mumbles and also goes noticed by the rich kid.

[Atom]

I crossed the street, focusing on my GPS to find my way. "One of the few things I often forget in any given Reality, and it has to be something that I need in everyday life." I mutter. Leo popped open on my shoulder.

"Be glad that's all you forget." He said.

"True." I reply. "But still, it's a skill that I very much need to improve."

"Indeed." Agreed Leo. I continue walking, only to get distracted by someone yelling. I couldn't make out the words, but I could hear some of the intent from the tone.

"Do you hear that?" I asked.

"Yeah. Think we need to check it out?"

"Absolutely. Even with Destruction's Generals gone, we can't be too careful with whatever happens." I put my GPS back in my pocket, and focus on the yelling. I turn towards the sound, seeing a little game store on the other side of the street. "It's coming from there." I quickly dash to the nearest light, only a short distance away, and press the cross button. "Come on, come on! Why does this have to be so slow?"

[Vail]

"And that is why you should close your store." The rich kid threatens. With a cocky smile, and a piece of paper in his hand that needs Vail's signature to close the store down. Vail properly tears the paper to shreds after politely taking it to make the 'I don't care' more obvious'. Which the Rich kid doesn't seam to get still. "How DARE YOU!"

"Look kid. I don't care about what you have to say. You are disrupting business and have wasted my time. Get lost." He says bluntly.

"Says the cheater" The rich kid goes. "You are just some loser after all. All those time where you beat me in a brawl. ." "It was one brawl" "Doesn't matter! It was still not a legit win. So if you still think you are sooooooo great. Then how about you beat us ten here." His lackeys start laughing as if they were trained to on cue.

"If I do beat all of you. You will leave the store. Forever. You do know you are still banned from here right. Legally you are breaking the law, but if it gets you out faster." The rich kid might as well be called tomato because that is how red his face. 

[Atom]

I ran up to the store door, winded and out of breath. "I hate running so much!" I complained. However, I was barely able to hear what the yelling person said. "Close down this store?" I asked.

"Maybe we shouldn't get involved." Said Leo. "Sounds like it might be negotiations, or an audit."

"That yelling was no lawyer." I said. "I think the only times I've ever heard one yell was back when I watched someone play a Pheonix Wright game."

"So, do we charge in and start asking questions?" Asked Leo.

"No, we need to play it carefully." I looked inside. "Leo, stay quiet. We're going to pretend to just be browsing." I opened the door, causing the bell to jingle. I turned towards some of the racks, trying to seem ignorant of anything going on inside, and walked towards them.

[Vail]

Vail sees the a new customer. Somebody he hasn't seen or met before. But a much needed quick distraction. He gets up from behind the counter. Ignoring the rich kid and walks right to Atom. "Hello. Welcome to Game Gunners. Is there anything I can help you with?"  The rich kid can only stand there shocked and befuddle for how much Vail doesn't care about him.

"Do you know who I AM!!!" He angerly shouts at Vail. 

"No, and don't care. You're banned remember." He says bluntly and coldly. He actually does. The kid screams his name when he runs away with his tail tucked. George Winchester. A boring name to claiming 'I will have my revenge'. 

"I think not. I still want that brawl. Us 10 versus just you." Vail roles his eyes. He turns back to Atom, when something is heard being broken. "I don't think you have a choice now." One of the lackeys was holding a bat, and just smashed display case. Now Vail is really mad. 

"Fine. I will brawl you all. Get into the interspace." He says calmly. Not letting his anger show.

[Atom]

I turned to the person who talked to me to respond, but it died on my tongue as I heard what was said. "A ten on one brawl?" I asked, stepping up. "Isn't that just a little unfair?" I took quick notice of the Baseball Bat, and of the clothing choices for a majority of them. "Jeez, spoiled rich kid vibes." I thought. I shook my head. "Look," I started, "if this man says that you are banned, then you don't have a choice. It is within his right to not provide service to anyone he doesn't wish to." I thought for another moment. "Additionally, you just committed a Vandalism felony, which can land all of you into prison for several years. Trust me when I say that nobody needs to go through the Judicial System." I looked at the man near me. "So, can I gleam any info about these kids? Anything besides the fact that the head one is a spoiled rich kid?" I changed my stance to be slightly more relaxed, putting my hands behind my back, but quickly summoned my shield onto my arm in case I needed to react quickly.

[Vail]

"Oh so you are joining him then." He smiles cockily. "The come." He and his lackeys walk off. The one with the bat stares them down. Looks like he is about to swing again. Then stops, then stares directly at Vail.

"You will never swing a bat again. Or wield any weapon or anything as a weapon again." Vail's eyes glow a little as if they are charged. The lackey nods, and the glow stops. The lackey blinks confused and goes join the his "friends" in the Interspace. "His name is George. He was causing some ruckus a few months back. Taught him a lesson, and he has been annoying me ever since. He has money so that is why people lose on purpose to him. I chose not too. They all are pretty weak anyways." He says dismissively of the group. "If you do intend to help. You and your bakugan are free to join." He walks off to the Interspace after closing the store temporarily. Telling any customers still inside if they want to watch they can.

[Atom]

I took a cautious glance at Leo. "Think we should help out?" I asked.

"Definitely. Someone throwing their money around like that, they need to be brought back down to earth." I nodded, then followed the man into the Interspace transporter. I walked in, not knowing what to expect, and was soon brought in alongside a few other people. As soon as I got in, I immediately followed the man and the group he was following. "You know, something about that man doesn't really strike me the right way."

"Really?" I asked. "How so?"

"That light his eyes emitted, I feel like I've seen it somewhere before." Mentioned Leo. I thought for a moment.

"You know, I think I've seen it before too. Now, what exactly have I seen be done with glowing eyes? Let's think here, uh" I started rattling different things off to myself and Leo, trying to figure out what we had seen.

[Vail]

Atom and Vail soon enter the battlefield where George and his lackeys are on the other side of. "Shall we get started now. Gate Card Set! "He tosses the gate card. It glows purple and expands. "Come on boys. Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand Rise Darkus Terrorclaw!" His crab bakugan stand stand on the field ready to smash into something. He apparently did get somewhat stronger than the last time Vail faced him. From 350gs to 650gs. Vail wonders how much money was spent to get a stronger bakugan. Then the lacky's brawl out four Sieges and five Juggernoids in into the arena.

Vail whistles. "Maybe I will have to try. . . Nah. Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Rise Subterra Crobalt!" A cobra bakugan stands on the field some of it looks like it is made of metal.

"About time you just sent me after him again. I'm in the mood for thrashing some idiots." The bakugan says. "Hey Vail. How long do you think they will last. Three, maybe four cards." 

"shut up and focus." Vail says sternly

"Nah. I'm gonna trash talk them all day long." The snake bakugan laughs.

[Atom]

I do a quick survey of the battlefield. "Four Sieges, Five Juggernoids, and a Terrorclaw. Great." I state. I grab Leo. "Ready to jump back into the fray?"

"You know it!" Replied Leo. I nodded.

"If you guys want a fight, then it's a fight you've got! Bakugan, Brawl!" I called. I threw Leo out with a large amount of force. "Bakugan, Stand!" I called it while Leo was still in the air, causing him to transform while flying. "Rise Haos Leonidas!" Leo plowed into the Sieges and knocked them over before looping back and landing next to Crobalt. He took a glance at the other Bakugan.

"I take it you annoy others for your own amusement?" Asked Leo. He focused on the Bakugan they were facing against. "Do you want to knock them all out at once, or should we pick them off one by one?" I glared across at the rich brat, trying to gleam as much info as I could. I shook my head, knowing nothing at all. Nothing except that he had a Bakugan that was more powerful than he should be able to have.

"So, he throws around his money to gain whatever kind of advantage he can, huh?" I asked myself. "Time to show him that money doesn't mean skill."

[Vail]

"Do whatever, but the rich kid is my target." He raises and ability card. "Ability Activate Poison Earth." Crobalt slams his teeth into the ground. The Sieges getting up start struggling to do so. The Juggernoids lay their heavy bodies on the ground, and The terroclaw starts looking exhausted.

"Mvake vat you vricks." His yells while through muffling.

"What is going on! What is happening to my bakugan!" George cries out.

"Now go Crobalt" Vail orders.

"With pleasure." Crobalt say removing his head from the ground. Rushing to the enemy bakugan and tossing them like rag dolls like he got a lot stronger. If Atom reads the power level then he would see that he gain a lot of power, and the other bakugan noticeably weaker. Crobalt pick up the terroclaw and tosses it into a couple of juggernoids. Then ruthlessly taking out two more sieges. If one didn't know better. It would look like Vail was the bully. Yet to Vail, he just never holds back.

[Atom]

Leo flapped his wings a bit, taking off. Whatever ability the man had used, it seemed to affect the ground itself. It might not affect anybody on his side, but better to be safe than sorry. "Atom!" He called. "What do you say we take their only advantage away?"

"You got it!" I called. I raised an Ability Card. "Ability Activate! Haos Swap!" The Gate Card glowed as it was replaced, taking away George's best weapon against us, and replacing it with my best weapon against multiple targets. "Gate Card, Open! Enemy Blow Out!" All the Bakugan, except for Terrorclaw, Leo, and Crobalt returned to their brawlers. "This little Gate Card sends all but one opposing Bakugan back to their brawlers." I turned to the guy next to me. "All yours, good sir." Leo flew behind Crobalt.

"Now's your chance!" He said. "Take him out! If he retaliates, me and Atom will be on support."

[Vail]

"Right. Crobalt you know what to do." Vail says. He has no hesitation about crushing somebody who needs to be crushed. All he wants in the end though is this rich kid to stop bothering him and his customers.

"Right." He wraps around the terroclaw and then crushes. It returns back to his brawl. The system shows Atom, and Vail as the winners.

"Atom was it. Thank you for the help. Even though it was not needed." He recalls Crobalt. Then sighs. "So I expect you and your lackeys to never show up on my door step ever again got it." He calls out to George.

"Though I am a man of my word." "Yeah right." "Shut it! Though you wont see me. I will have my revenge!" He, and his lackeys leave the Interspace and the store. Along with everybody else, but staying inside the store. Vail opens it back up to business. 

"There I hope I will never see him again. . . . . . The next time I see him again I'm just going hypnotize him into never coming back." He says that part with a saddened annoyance. "Crobalt you still talk to much.

"What are you talking about. I spent most of today quiet like you asked!" Vail ignores him. "HEY!!!! Don't ingore me you angry piece of bird shit!" He still gets ingored. "VAIL!"

"Ignore him. So again thank you Atom." He says emotionless.

[Phoebe Hayes]

Meanwhile, there was a young lady walking alone. She was wearing a long purple coat with long purple boots, dark grey gloves and leggings and finally long black hair. The way she looked and walked seemed like she was an important person. There had been rumours around the place about a new team starting up called SHIELD. It is said there are two leaders but only one is known about, a lady called Phoebe who is normally seen in dark grey and purple attire. The lady had a clip in her hair that said SHIELD, she was a lady who people were calling weird of a freak. The true fact of the matter was those people talking bad about her were idiots and hooligans that she had dealt with.

She was nearby when she saw some people ran out of a store, shouting about revenge. She rolled her eyes as a black and purple Bakugan appeared on her shoulder and opened up. "Seems like we should check out that store m'lady" The lady could only nod as another Bakugan showed itself, it was black and red with hints of purple, unlike the previous, this one sounded female. "It would be the best, the group of kids look like trouble" The lady then finally spoke, "Agreed, let's go" With that the lady turned and headed inside the shop, she looked around the store and noticed a smashed display case. She sighed and shook her head to herself. She looked to Vail, "Everything okay in here? I hope no ones causing trouble for this shop" She asked her voice having that strange combination of care/friendliness and seriousness.

[Atom]

I was about to reply to the man, but was interrupted by the door opening and the woman talking. "That voice." I thought. I turned to the newcomer to see an old acquaintance of mine. We may never have been formally introduced, but I still remembered her and her sister well. "Phoebe?" I asked. "Is that really you?" I smiled. "If it really is you, then it's been such a long time since I've seen you! How is everything going?" I still had fond memories of some of the adventures I'd had with her sister, Blaze. Sure, I never really got to know Phoebe, but I knew of her. Or, at least, I knew she was Blaze's sister. Being completely honest with myself, I know next to nothing about her. "How's Blaze doing? Everything still fine with SHIELD?"
